Team set-up 9am
Prep time: starting at 10 am
Cooking Time: starting at 11 am
Judging: starting at 3 pm
Winners announced: starting at 4 pm
Non monetary prizes awarded for:
- Texas Red Chili Grand Prize – judged by official judges
- People's Choice – Teams can enter or public can enter this event (pre-registration – bring chili all prepared in crock-pot) judged by public who purchase kits from us to judge.
- Best Booth Decoration – Chili/Southwest theme – public judges by voting with their money at each both: most money is best booth
- Most Money Raised Team
Contestants (1 to 3 person teams) to supply:
Propane stove
Pots and pans
All food ingredients
Entrance Fee for Teams:
Cook Teams consist of 3 people – 1 chef and 2 sous chefs.
Cost $200 per team.
Honorary Chairperson:
Erminie Cohen is the Honorary Chairperson for the 1st Anual Chili on the Beach cookoff.
